The Graduate Diploma of Counselling is a qualification for people who work or wish to work in a professional capacity in the field of counselling. The course is highly experiential, academically rigorous and practice-oriented. Students are provided with a solid theoretical and ethical base upon which to practise as a counsellor. The course is suitable for people from a wide variety of professional backgrounds who require greater competency in the skill, knowledge and methodology of counselling and its application in practice.

Since 1983 the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) has been teaching applied psychology and helping to prepare students to change lives and to make a difference. ACAP is a nationally registered training organisation (RTO) and higher education provider (HEP). ACAP has city campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Each campus offers a unique experience while delivering the same course content and quality teaching. You can also combine your on-campus learning with studying by flexible delivery. This RTO can offer VET Student Loans for certain approved courses. A VET Student Loan is a capped loan from the Australian Government to help you pay your tuition fees. Your initial loan debt amount (loan and loan fee, if applicable), plus indexation, must be paid back once you start earning over a certain amount. The compulsory threshold for the 2019-2020 income year is $45,881.
